Our Past, Present and Future ...
Our law firm has always been as much a close-knit family as it has been a trusted legal resource for the people and businesses of Middle Tennessee. Our tradition started more than 31 years ago when Nashville School of Law graduate Brenda Franks Hale began her career as an attorney by serving clients with real estate-related legal needs in the Franklin, Tennessee, area. A year later, in 1979, Brenda was joined in practice by husband, Douglas S. Hale, thus adding business law and civil litigation to the firm's areas of focus.
While business relationships, commercial real estate and civil litigation remain key practice areas at the firm, they have been joined by family law, divorce, estate planning, probate administration and civil mediation.
Our staff of attorneys has also expanded to include Lauren Wynn Moss and recently retired, but still highly respected Tennessee jurist, Jane Crockett Franks, Ms. Moss is also a graduate of the Nashville School of Law and maintains a varied practice that includes family law, real estate, business and civil litigation. Jane Crockett Franks, Brenda's mother — is engaged in the firm's family law mediation practice and offers the insightful perspective enjoyed by a respected former judge. She serves the firm's attorneys and other clients in an "Of Counsel" capacity.
On a final note, we would very much like to acknowledge the commitment of the professional support staff at our office.
